Makeup Trial - $125*
A makeup trial is so important in making sure your wedding day preparation can run smoothly. Think of this as a practice run for what you will be going through on the morning of your wedding. A makeup trial is perfect for trying out several looks to find the perfect one for you.
*This price is included in the total price of bridal makeup. This is non-refundable; however, if you decide that my services are no longer needed for your event, you will be refunded the remaining amount ($175).
• Why it’s so important: your trial will ensure that you and I are both on the same page when it comes to your look and color specifications, as details like these can get lost in translation. (For example, your idea of a nude lip may not be my idea of a nude lip.) This is the time to iron out all the details in person so that there are no surprises later. As we go through the trial and figure out the right look for you, I will be taking notes of every product and color used so that there is no guessing when we replicate it on your big day. You will also be able to figure out if there are any negative effects of products used so we can avoid them later.
You will also get a sense as to how long it takes for your makeup to be complete to help you figure out your plan to prepare for the day of your wedding. You will also get a sense of how long your makeup will hold up before touch-ups need to be made.
• How long is the trial? I always estimate about 3 hours for the makeup trial. (Day of makeup will take about 1.5 hrs). Why 3 hours? We are getting to know each other and ask a lot of questions. We are trying out several looks possibly. The trial may not last 3 hours, but I always recommend you block at least a 3-hour window so that no one feels rushed during this appointment.
• Does anyone else in my wedding party need a makeup trial? That is up to them. It’s not required but if they want to run through a look as well, they can set up a makeup trial with me for an additional fee.
• When should a trial be booked? Anytime two to six months before your wedding date is the perfect time to schedule your makeup trial.
